The Ply-Lock Stool

Designed using CAD software, the stool is constructed from Birch plywood. The manufacturing process utilizes CNC machining to cut the nesting patterns, maximizing material efficiency. The components are created by laminating these cuts together to form thick, durable legs and seat rings.
The defining feature of the stool is its final assembly. Designed with precise friction-fit joinery, the stool can be shipped flat-packed and assembled by the end-user in minutes. The parts slot together like interlocking bricks—requiring no screws, bolts, or glue during the final stage. The result is a clean aesthetic uninterrupted by hardware, finished with a durable polyurethane lacquer.
